Zones in between – composition and improvisation – between the ear and the eye, between ideas cultures and humans – zones of encounters and creation. This Russian-Swiss collaboration shows different forms of artistic expression from composition to free improvisation and vice versa.
– Compositions by Russian composers will be played by the MCME.
– The Swiss Duo Niggli-Hug will play a musical counterpoint with free improvisations.
– The new composition hart, flüssig, transparent for two ensembles in a Son-Icons room score by Charlotte Hug will create bridges and zones in between. The intervals offer new spaces for thoughts and creativity – and hence great potential for renewal and new encounters.
Space encounter of the sound kind encompasses many paths within paths of music making. Even though the evening has a self-contained three-part structure, which, at the same time is also understood as an unity of a larger whole.
