MICROMUSIC LAB

Young composers are invited to compose micro miniatures (from 1 to 60 seconds) for the MCME soloists, which will be performed in the final performance-installation. 25-30 young composers are invited to participate in the project. Composers are divided into groups of 4-5 people. In each group, composers write micro pieces for one of the MCME musicians: flute, clarinet, keyboards, accordion, violin, cello. These micro pieces are rehearsed by the musicians – thus, each musician receives 4-5 micro-pieces. In the final performance, the musicians are situated in the space of the hall and perform micro pieces 4-5 times each, alternating them in a free order. Thus, a network of interacting elements – micro pieces – is formed in space, which form a large form of performance.

MCME:
Ivan Bushuev, flute
Oleg Tantsov, clarinet,
Mikhail Dubov, piano
Sergei Tchirkov, accordion
Gleb Khokhlov, violin
Yulia Migunova, cello
